First I’d like to start by thanking you for taking the time to read this blog, I hope it is not only interesting but hopefully sparked some thoughts, ideas and opinions of your own.

I have a passion for music and think it’s a fantastically exciting time for everyone involved in music, whether it be fans who love to listen to music, or for those involved with the business side – even though it’s obviously a very transitional period for all concerned.

Although I have written, produced and performed music for a good number of years, I feel that I am most involved within business realms, and have experience of both independent music (after running an independent label and being involved with live music) and major label level operations.

My key areas of interest are regarding digital and new media advancements, with emerging online opportunities and social media, particularly in relation to what possibilities it puts forward for independent artists.
